One of the main factors contributing to the high rate of drug addiction among youth in Pakistan is poverty. Many young people turn to drugs as a way to escape the harsh realities of their lives, such as unemployment, lack of education, and lack of opportunities. Additionally, the availability of drugs in Pakistan is high, with traffickers taking advantage of the country's porous borders to smuggle drugs into the country.


Another factor contributing to drug addiction among youth in Pakistan is the lack of awareness and education about the dangers of drug use. Many young people are not aware of the negative effects that drugs can have on their physical and mental health, and they may not understand the risks of addiction. Furthermore, the lack of access to drug treatment and rehabilitation services in Pakistan makes it difficult for young people to overcome their addiction.


The government of Pakistan has taken steps to address the problem of drug addiction among youth.
